Headshot damage inconsistency / players tanking headshots – is this expected behavior?

I’d like to ask about a behavior I’ve been noticing while playing RedM across multiple servers. This does not seem to be limited to a single server or configuration.

In general, I feel that other players often tank headshots, while I usually die instantly from a single headshot. This happens even in similar combat situations (same weapons, similar distances, PvP scenarios).

For context, my connection and performance are usually very stable:

  • Ping: ~15–20 ms
  • Packet loss: 0%
  • FPS: relatively high and stable

Because of this, I’m wondering:

  • Is this behavior considered normal or expected in RedM?
  • Are there any global parameters or engine limitations that affect headshot damage or damage registration?
  • Do ping, FPS, or sync conditions influence how damage (especially headshots) is calculated?
  • If this is a known issue or limitation, are there any plans to improve or adjust this behavior in the future?

I’m not reporting a crash or a server-specific bug, just trying to understand whether this is a platform-level limitation, a networking/sync issue, or intended behavior.
