hey, limit your fps set like 144 fps or less if your monitor is not capable of it. Having unlimited fps, will stutter.

you can do it in nvidia control panel, like in this picture, just make sure select fivem from the list.

That… doesn’t seem intended. In fact, there’s an option in the FiveM settings (and a second one in the F8 console) to mitigate a GTA V bug that does that.

Personal experience. As soon as he limits FPS it will stop from lag spikes.

My monitor is a BenQ Zowie 144hz. Playing at 1920x1080.

When driving it will hitch every couple seconds and sometimes other cars will crash and bounce.

Why does it hitch though and why do I need to cap the FPS? I thought the more FPS the more smooth and less issues?

What is the max FPS GTA can run without hitching?

What are the option in FiveM settings and the console settings?

You don’t need more FPS than your monitor can produce, which is 144. Why would you want to burn your GPU at full FPS that it can produce? Cap it and tell me results, only kids runs at full power when it’s not needed and thinks they are super cool, or people who simply don’t know. In the end your game stutter isn’t? Cap it - save energy, save nerves and have a smooth game.

It’s because I never capped any FPS on my old computer before for any game and never had issues with hitching etc. I will cap it next time I jump on and see if there is any difference.

Also with this new build and uncapped fps I see that my CPU usage is around 22% and GPU usage is 75%-80%. Why is the gpu usage so low when I have an rtx 3070ti?

75-80% is plenty for a game that was released in 2013, if you wanna go for the limits install graphics mods.
