So i’m planning to switch from linux to windows server but am worried about ram
as 1 gb vps was enough for my linux server but surely won’t be for windows because windows will use ram itself.
What would be an ideal amount of ram (in total: windows+ server) ?
and do you (if u have a windows server) use an application to minimize the amount of ram used by windows?
I would recommend having 8 GB of RAM on your Windows machine if you are just running the FiveM server plus Chrome, etc. You could go even lower to something like 4GB but I personally wouldn’t like that especially for large demanding servers/
And such application I never heard of, if you worry about RAM, then just go 8GB minimum
8 sounds like a lot. i won’t use anything else than the server. but i guess 4 should be enough as i am only going to use it for 2 people for testing. i’ll try it out
