Hey, I’m not sure if this is the correct place to post, but since I’m trying to make a modification working, I decided to give it a try.
I’m trying to add this mod to my server Improvements in Gore - GTA5-Mods.com
When I opened up the OIV package, it had some textures/decals (fxdecal.ytd, peddamagedecals.ytd . I know how to add Car-Addons so i just did the same as i used to do with cars, i created a stream folder and placed those .ytd files inside.
Then I found some files called bloodfx.dat, decals.dat and peddamage.xml , so I followed the same line of thought and placed them in the root of the folder where the Stream folder is located.
So then I also created, a _resource.lua file and this is the part that i had completely no idea what to do, until i found the documentation of the data files and used the ones that seemed like were the right ones.
I wasn’t very confident when doing this since it was my first time doing this, with different files. And I was right, its not working at all, every time I try to join the server, it just stays on the loading screen forever. If i stop the resource, I can join the server easily and then if i start while being in the server, the game just stops responding.
This is where it stays loading the entire time.
So I would like someone to guide me in the right direction, because I’m not even sure if these files can work properly, in my opinion they do, I’m just missing something.

I’ve gotten this to work for client side. Not server sided though.

looking to add this but its messed up any fix?
We’ve used this in our server since the beginning without any issues. It still works as is.
If I get a chance I’ll see if I can pinpoint why some people crash. My first guess is old game build but not sure.
