Hello all,

So today I started up FiveM to be greeted with a global ban message.

I am aware that there is no way to fully prove my innocence, so my reason for creating this topic is to help me understand the probable cause of this ban in order to prevent this issue from occuring again.

After spending some time searching this forum, it would seem that the game’s detection is triggered by injection commonly found in unauthorized cheat menus. The only thing I can think of that I did differently from usual was update some of my plugins to more recent ones which may include natives present only in the After Hours DLC (which, to my understanding is not present in FiveM as of now). My question is: Could this ban have been caused by such a plugin? My group and I do use quite a large number of them, and exclusively on our private server. We have never had any issues in the many months we’ve been playing.

Another thing I did was use a sync program to allow a buddy of mine to transfer his addon vehicles into my GTAV folder so I could do some work in OpenIV. Please note that this was just the folder itself and the transfer didn’t target any game files.

One last thing, I got this warning as soon as I updated my FXServer to the latest version, and then tried to enter my server. Don’t know if that is a coincidence.

Again, I’m not trying to appeal my ban. The purpose of this post is to help me understand what could have triggered this detection, so I know how to avoid it in the future.

Thank you for any assistance,

  • M

Here is a list of all the plugins I use, if it’s of any use:

Read the ban message. Don’t cheat.

Although I understand that I have no way to prove it, I did not cheat, which is why I’m not here to complain about the ban, I’m just trying to figure out what could have caused this.

I was hoping someone could shed some light on the things I mentioned in the first post.

I’ve had this EXACT same issue, from playing normally one night, to waking up to a global ban. Unless my PC turned itself on and somehow magically cheated, I have no idea either. Worst part is, all I have in my directory is Lambda Menu and Simple Trainer which i’ve used since I started playing FiveM and this ban has only just happened? Could it be a banwave? Could it be a malfunction? I hope someone gives us an answer or atleast looks into this issue because the generic “Don’t cheat” or the “im going to give you a robotic answer because i cant be arsed to actually help you with finding a more realistic reasoning for the ban” answers really aren’t helping at all. I know that the developers probably don’t have the time to investigate it, but they need to be aware that maybe, just maybe the system is picking up false positives.

Don’t use simple trainer, most likely what caused it

It’s strange because my crew and I have been using Simple Trainer on my server for months and this is the first time any of us have had trouble.

I’ll remove it from my client for now.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Detection methods would change and update overtime. Something that passes muster today might not do the same tomorrow.

So do you think I should get rid of the other plugins too? Some of them seem harmless, but I guess there’s no guarantee that they are at this point.

Thank you for the information.

I personally wiped my GTA install and reinstalled fresh when starting to play FiveM. I didn’t want to take the chance of triggering something with what I thought to be an innocuous mod.

Any issues about global bans can be sent to -REMOVED- as no one here can assist you nor answer any of the concerns people have with the bans.

Thanks, Painwithin!

I sent an email explaining my situation. I also reinstalled GTAV and FiveM, changed my Social Club password, and removed my client plugins.

I will update this post if I get a response for the email. Until then, thank you everyone for the suggestions!

Your question was fine as it was not about the ban within itself but ways to prevent it, it was more to the ones leading to unnecessary drama for something we have no control over here.

So basically yeah, the basic replies people get when asking to be unbanned will happen and you will get a generic message that we as the community and moderators can not help you.

So no need to be negative towards we the community or the people who help keep the forums clean, when we say WE can NOT help you with global bans… we can not help you and all concerns that have to do with bans and if you feel you were wrongfully banned should be emailed to -REMOVED-.
