Hi,
I’ve played a lot on FiveM servers, mostly Dutch, since the Netherlands is a country within the EU it has also signed the GDPR into law (Dutch = AVG, or UAVG for the implementation law). All of these game servers (and their tools, such as websites/support tickets) process a lot of user data, so my question is as follows:
Do these servers need to set up a privacy policy and other GDPR required documents, or is their use of player data and the sorts covered by something the user has already agreed to (such as FiveM EULA or a Data Processing Agreement between FiveM/cfx.re and the servers)?
This is a particular concern since every FiveM server has their own methods of storing and processing user data, which may be a cause of concern when the issue of dataleaks or mis-use of data (such as IPs) comes to mind.
I’m looking forward to the responses, thank you for your time.
