What did you do to get this issue?
When I have been in certain roleplay servers, particularly when I am roleplaying as a police officer, I have been experiencing repeated instances where once I fire a weapon (Pistol, SMG for instance) I will experience something similar to what I would consider a lag switch. Other player positions will update every few seconds and I am able to freely move around and fire, but they will remain in place and once I stop shooting, there is about a 10 second delay before I return to normal. This incident only happens when I shoot a weapon, otherwise it never happens. I experienced this issue in two servers thus far.

While running my performance graphs, my performance stays consistent which is typically above 60 FPS while in 4K. This issue was present both while I was running in 1080p and 4K. My network shows no ping spikes or packet loss when this event happens or right before it. When I am on a criminal character, this issue never happens and even when I am shooting PD, I don’t experience this issue.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

  • Graphics based changes and NVIDIA Control Panel framerate capping to 150 FPS, utilizing both low and 4K settings with no change with this issue

  • Forum research, but I have no found a thread that anyone can relate to this issue occurring. Most refer to “micro-stutters” but this is far more severe and happens with very deliberate conditions

That’s caused by a bad script that runs too much heavy code when the shooting occurs, usually “dispatch” stuff. Contact the staff of the server and inform them of the issue.

Is there a reason why I would only be affected by this and no one else really? I’m curious as to what I can do on my end to mitigate or resolve the issue since it’s not an issue really affecting anyone else so staff can’t easily diagnose and resolve this issue.

Shut down all unnecessary background apps as a start, you do have a fairly powerful and relatively modern CPU so I don’t see any other reason for it to lag like that besides your CPU simply being overloaded with other stuff. Might try a cache clear too, just in case, but not much to suggest beyond that
