Is it possible to create a system that allows me to play back recordings in a custom AI path?

For example, I have a script that puts a player in a taxi and drives them around the server, providing a preview of my server. Would it be possible to record the path I drive, so that the taxi can follow custom roads and then play that path back to the player during the server preview, ending at my city hall?

If you create a recording of that path with this tool, save it and manipulate the saved playback in a way where you place a ped in the driver seat, and your player in the back, absolutely you can.

sweet

This just creates the file responsible for playbacks, it’s up to the developer to do what they want with it.

alright now i will just have to learn how to use it xD

It’s the playback natives you need to familiarize with, it’s one native StartPlaybackRecordedVehicle to play the recording

Nice work !

Insane! Is it possible for you that you make a let’s say database type thingy so when you record a vehicle you can choose to add it to database, and also add an option for when you start recording you can choose to start recording or start recording and play playback, which will play the other’s recorded vehicle path too, so you can like make movie chases and so on with it? That would be sick, i would even pay for it.

Since the data generated is for the .yvr, I don’t see it being a benefit to store that data to a database

I think I see what you mean, like being able to start multiple recordings at once right?

Yes, exactly like that. So you would be able to make chase scenes just by using the menu, it would be a very useful option.

I’ll have a good think about that

Thank you! Looking forward to it if you’ll consider it!

Hey, just checking up, did you think it through? I would love to see the feature be added, it would help a lot of people, maybe also with Cinematic Films creators and Chases and so on

Honestly no I haven’t, I’m working on other things, I’ll work on it in my spare time, I’ll happily accept pr’s though

Fixed reverse lights not working in latest release

Hey bro, this still active?

I regret to inform you, but I don’t have much motivation to keep this active, it’s more just a resource to help people understand vehicle recordings, do with it as you will with the tool, the source is also there if you want to create your own script out of it.

Hi, ive downloaded it but the menu doesn’t popup even I changed the binds in the pause menu. is this menu working?
