[ FREE ][ QB/ESX/CUSTOM ] JTransmission | Realistic Vehicle Transmission | Manual, Automatic, CVT

Looking for a realistic way to drive in GTA? We got you covered!

Features:

  • Supports 3 different Transmissions i.e. Manual, Automatic and CVT

  • Everything is easily configurable through the config, no matter how small or big it may be

  • Out of the box support for QBCore and ESX Legacy

  • Custom frameworks can work by adding some functions in the config, there is an example as well

  • Includes sounds effects, such as Gear Shifting, Gear Grinding

  • Simulates Engine stall below configurable RPM ( Manual Transmission )

  • You can jump start your vehicle if you let go of the clutch at the correct speed for the gear

  • Uses Database to dynamically load and save Transmission types for each vehicle

  • Includes command to set the transmission of the vehicle you're using, or nearby

  • Torque, RPM, Speed etc can be defined for each gear in the Config ( Manual Transmission )

  • Realistic reverse gear. The car doesn't reverse when braking and if you shift to reverse while the car is moving forward, you'll hear a grinding sound and the vehicle will get damaged

  • Includes basic UI to show Gears, can be changed to whatever you'd like to use in the config

  • If the RPM is too low for the selected gear, the car will vibrate

Requirements:

  • baseevents, comes with the cfx-default resources

  • A framework with support for Callbacks e.g. QB, ESX

  • oxmysql or similar

CHANGELOG

v1.1

  • Bug fixes, optimizations
  • Added ability to jump start vehicle, the minimum speed for jump starting in each gear is defined in the config.
  • Added version check. You now get a message in the console if there’s an update available.

Easter discount has been applied! Costs only $30 now.

this looks dope, whats the resmon on this?

Hi!

The resmon on idle is 0.01 ms as you can see in the screenshot below.

The resmon while the car is moving on CVT is around 0.10 to 0.15.

The resmon on Manual is around 0.12 while the car is stopped/on Neutral/Reverse and around 0.20-0.25 while the car is in Gear and moving.

The specs on which this was tested are:

PC:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT OC
  • RAM: Corsair RGB Pro SL 16 GB 3200 MHz
  • Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro

Test Server:

  • CPU: 2 Core Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2680 v4 @ 2.40GHz
  • RAM: 8 GB DDR4

I’m aware more optimizations need to be done on this script. Hopefully the next update will see lower CPU ms, specially on the Manual.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

CHANGELOG

v1.2

  • Bug fixes.
  • Added support for Jim Mechanic and Custom Mechanic scripts.
  • Added the ability to get the Transmission replaced by a Mechanic for a specific car.
  • Modified the Database Table structure to reduce Data Redundancy and support different Transmission types for each vehicle identified by the License Plate.

option for usable item that gets installed to make it manual transmission?

That works well with Jim Mechanic but if you have some other Mechanic script or just wanna do it by using an item, there is a custom mechanic table in config.lua that contains the event to execute whenever the item is used.

The code below is what you’ll have to add inside the event that gets triggered.

Any optimization improvements?

do you have a discord or something for support? having trouble installing it

Any optimization improvements?

Development has been pretty much on a halt lately but there is an update coming next month which should bring much needed improvements, including optimization.

this script is really not worth the asking price, the manual transmission is very bad, no cut off it’s a very bad purchase I don’t recommend it
