[FREE] Legion Square Remastered [WIP]

This resource is designed for individuals with a basic understanding of CodeWalker (discord.gg/codewalker).

If you’re unfamiliar with CodeWalker, I recommend joining their Discord and reviewing the releases and tutorials channels to get started.

The goal of this resource is to provide a highly customizable blank canvas for those who enjoy creating custom maps and hotspot locations. I’ve removed entities and edited collisions at key spots to offer a completely flexible, clean slate for builders. The foundations I’ve placed aren’t meant to be pretty—they’re just starting blocks for you to build on.

What makes this canvas special is the range of customization options available. You can choose exactly which parts of the map you want to keep or discard. With multiple ymap options that are organized into foundation, siding, and detail categories, you can easily build the map you envision. Whether you want the basic structure or fully decked-out details, it’s up to you. For example, if you only want the base structure and nothing else, you can simply remove the ‘detail’ ymaps that include decorative elements.

Here are your options to work with:

  • Foundation:

    • turtle_addon1legion_foundation.ymap – This is the core foundation of the project, providing the base structure for your build.
  • Siding (Optional):

    • turtle_addon1legion_sideboards.ymap – Adds sideboards for structural flair.
    • turtle_addon1legion_detail_new_glass_siding.ymap – Includes sleek glass siding for a modern look.
  • Details (Completely Optional):

    • turtle_addon1legion_detail1.ymap – General decorative elements to enhance your project.
    • turtle_addon1legion_detail_fires.ymap – Adds fire features to increase ambiance.
    • turtle_addon1legion_detail_pool_tables.ymap – Adds pool tables for a recreational touch.
    • turtle_addon1legion_detail_skate_park.ymap – Includes a skate park for a more dynamic, lively environment.
    • turtle_addon1legion_detail_table_tops.ymap – Adds table tops to furnish the space.

You have full control over how detailed or basic the build is. The ymaps are set up so you can layer details however you like, depending on your vision for the project.

If you find any mistakes, please report them properly so I can correct them. Not everyone has the patience or skill to wipe locations as I’ve done, and that’s where this free resource comes in.

Additionally, I’m working on editing LODs to ensure compatibility with other maps, and a version with distant LOD options will be available as well.

I’m passionate about helping others improve and I’m available day and night for those willing to learn. However, don’t mistake this for a willingness to handle issues caused by user error or lack of competence. Each resource is free, and I’ve already done the hard part for those who know how to use it.

This foundation canvas offers many options for builders who want to make it their own, giving you the power to craft unique locations effortlessly!

I have this problem, I don’t know if it’s just me Also I think there is a lot of fire in the trees

maybe pool here

It is most likely due to conflicting vanilla gta ymaps, meaning another one of your maps is streaming the same ymap my resource is streaming.

good idea !

Hey

Just some feedback from my experience in making maps etc

When you place props, try to ensure some randomness to them. IE in the real world, all tables do not line up exactly straight and the exact distance apart, move them slightly, turn them a little so its more reflective of real life.

With the trees, rotate them a bit, and even adjust the vertical angle to lean over a little.

Search the props websites for ‘rub’. it will show some litter props, put some of those in again reflecting real life. There are a bunch of decals, such as graffiti and dirt that you can add to your maps for a bit more realism.

Randomness in maps is difficult to do as we want them to look perfect, but then they look false, unrealistic. It takes effort to make it look random or untidy.

Take some time to slowly look around the map with codewalker, pull things a part to see how they developers did it. You will be surprised what you find and can add to your maps to improve the look and feel of them.

Hope this helps

How to fix that please help me

Please check if there are any occurrences of the same YMAPs already included in your server. To do this, remove my resource temporarily and set it aside. Then, right-click on the first vanilla YMAP file in my resource, select ‘Rename,’ and copy the name. Search your server for that YMAP file name. Repeat this process for each YMAP in my resource. If you find any duplicates already in your server, let me know which ones they are and if not we will go from there.

I am confused, there is a whole park there
