We are excited to bring you the first collaboration from our development team. This idea was born together with @prompt in order to bring something new to the community that is 100% compatible with all releases from both teams!
This is our first free release and we wanted to go big, that’s why we’ve also added Christmas Overhaul style decorations so you can enjoy these holidays properly!
What do I need to use this map?
Nothing, it currently works standalone but we highly recommend using it with Sandy Beaches Marina.
What can I expect from this modification?
Complete compatibility with all maps (including those that edit water.xml)
A frozen lake with unique details such as:
Physics and particles adapted to the terrain
Functional props
Christmas decorations (optional)
Ice with real texture and snow mounds
LODs for ice.
System to control water level and transparency
This last point is very important to us, we wanted to achieve editing the lake’s water level without causing problems with other maps that edit water.xml, so we developed a tool that allows us to do this and we’ll also provide you with a config so you can edit it to your liking.
I did this in our server several weeks ago, I added some large cracks and depressions to rp ppl falling though,getting stuck in the ice/water and a couple of holes for fishing
sounds like conflicting files causing crash, check the list of files in the downloaded stream folder and any other maps you have in the area to see if there are same file names
