Basic Rappel

This script was made for a mil-sim based FiveM server and the owner asked us to release it to the public. Therefore, here is yet another rappel script. However this one has just what it needs, so no trash code and no unnecessary shit.

:package: Features:

  • whitelist a selection of vehicles from which player can rappel
  • set the required height (min / max) to rappel
  • set the max speed of the vehicle to rappel

  • The vehicle must support rappelling by default in GTA for players to rappel from it (Is there a way to add something like a flag in the vehicles.meta??)

If I recall correctly it requires a specific bone on the model for it.

Makes it a bit harder :joy:
I haven’t seen a flag or meta tag for it, and I’ve seen a couple of vehicles with rappelling just have the polmav winch awkwardly attached to it.

FLAG_ALLOWS_RAPPEL

This is a flag in the vehicles.meta. Unsure if an accompanying bone is also required

Well I’m guessing it still needs a point to attach the rope from where the bone comes in handy. It might just crash everything if the flag is present but not the bone.
