FiveM won't start

What is the issue you’re having?

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well.
Since April 8th, 2025, I’ve been experiencing an issue when trying to launch FiveM. This video shows exactly what happens — during startup, the application either doesn’t open or doesn’t respond at all.
I’ve already reinstalled both the game and FiveM several times, but nothing has worked.
I also deleted the ‘adhesive.dll’ file, but when FiveM does open, I’m unable to connect to any servers.

I’m looking forward to receiving support!

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

it’s something weird it just happened to me and what i did is move the fivem folder to another storage. if you only have one try to move it to the desktop for some reason the launcher miss reading the files.

It could also might be steam, epic or rockstar games launcher. if you have it open and minimized in the task bar hidden icons close them completely and open fivem without them.

same issue…

did you do my suggestion? cuz i’m able to play now

I am having the same exact issue and I tried your suggestion without any luck.

A multi billion dollar company buys the project and now the exe doesn’t even work.

I tested it here using all the methods you mentioned, and all of them just asked me to log in to the Rockstar Launcher. Unfortunately, none of them opened FiveM.
I only have one directory!

It was working just fine when I booted my machine this morning and now the exe won’t launch. I’ve tried the suggestions. The only thing that works is a reboot and I’m not rebooting my machine every time I want to play because the project is being ran poorly. Things keep getting worse, but no one wants to do anything about it.

While searching the CFX forum, I found a comment from the user “jah3high” in another thread that solved my problem.
Here’s the tip:

  1. Open your CMD as administrator
  2. Paste the following command:
netsh int ip set global mldlevel=all
  3. Done! Once CMD confirms the command, try opening FiveM again.

Doesn’t work. None of the suggestions work.

Damn, that command worked for me and I’m able to play normally again!

I have also tesetd your methods, and bringing it to another storage and my desktop it just opens the rockstar launcher loading thing and crashes instantly, before that i moved it from App Data/Local to Local/Program Files (x86) and it prompted me the thing to select the GTAV player before opening fivem, i selected the player fivem then downloaded everything it needed then crashed

having similar issue tried the CMD command still not working for me
