Since the components that likely failed are in part under an external NDA we’d require a more trusted person than a random forum user to provide access to a system to debug on.
I was playing normal, this happened to me after the update too, I’m totally available to help if you want
998 is file corruption, not memory corruption.
What? This error gets thrown by ntdll!Ldr*
when a STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION is caught.

If you need it, I have been playing FiveM As long as I remember on windows 7 and i would hate to see it go.
has anyone done a dump or stacktrace on this?
Agreed. FiveM is bugged by itself, and with this error for W7 users… Hmmmmmm
Players on my server upgraded to WIN10 but could not start the FiveM.exe client application due to the error of the “MF.dll” DLL
provide proof of such crashes then, as of now only windows 7 users reported this, would love to see error screenshots + dumps of the same error on windows 10.
Have you reported any of these ‘bugs’?
No I didn’t. And if i did in the past, it will be a thousand of topics.
then don’t complain, do you really expect people to read your mind?
Can we keep this on topic please everyone? i’d rather resolutions be posted rather than arguments.
+1 on that
I’m having this issue too. No luck with the media windows update. Wouldn’t even install. I’m on Win7. Hoping for a fix. Bunch of us in DOJRP have the issue too.
i’m pretty sure a solution has already been given. patience is the key my friend. Also @Matheus_Onix still waiting for those win10 crash screenshot, or maybe you were making that up…
What is the solution, Sir?
the solution is waiting while the developers figure out a way to debug this without access to any machine capable of running windows 7, unless you wanna send a free one their way
they working on it ?
Just wondering how you know a solution has been given when there is nothing in here close to one. I know they need a Win7 machine, but no talk of a possible fix yet. Like you said, patience is our friend right now.
