When I try to join any server, it prompts me to restart my FiveM (Idk why)

What did you do to get this issue?
Restart FiveM? No idea tbh
What server did you get this issue on? Be specific and name some, ‘all of them’ by itself isn’t useful!
I tried multiple servers they all wouldn’t work, but the one I want to play on is called: 洛圣都角色扮演 2016-2021 (connect 61.153.107.82)

Additional comments

It appears there’s something breaking load of a newer DLC if the game is set to chinesesimp language. This is possibly a bug somewhere as this language was added by a R* content update and implemented somewhat unusually, but as a workaround you can try setting the normal (non-restarted) game to English in the game options.

It seems the game tries to open dlc_patchDay1NG:/%PLATFORM%/patch/data/lang/chinesesimp.rpf, but this doesn’t exist in most game builds’ update.rpf nor patchday1ng/dlc.rpf.

I believe there was some oddity with this language addition before, for example (oddly) OpenIV.asi shows similar issues when used with this language setting, and CodeWalker pretends the chinesesimp.rpf doesn’t exist, but OpenIV can see and open it fine.

Still investigating.

It seems Rockstar doesn’t unmount the RPF file if some failure condition occurs, which somehow does occur in this case, and then it tries loading it again and that then crashes.

Fixed! (on canary for now)

Thanks! But can I ask how am I supposed to fix it? When I open up the github it’s just some code

Do I have to put the code anywhere?
