What is the issue you’re having?
Hello,
I’m experiencing an issue with voice chat in FiveM. The built-in microphone of my laptop works perfectly in all other applications (Discord, Windows settings, Chrome, etc.), but it does not work in FiveM.
I selected the correct input/output devices in FiveM’s audio settings after connecting to the server.
In Windows, the microphone is properly configured — the input level bar moves in the settings, and it works fine in Discord and Chrome.
However, in FiveM, the voice activation bar does not respond at all when using the built-in mic.
If I switch to Bluetooth headphones with a built-in mic, the bar starts moving — but the sound quality is extremely poor, and the voice is often not transmitted at all due to Bluetooth limitations, so this is not a viable option for me.
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
Installed the latest Realtek driver manually from the official website.
Performed full system cleanup, integrity checks (DISM /RestoreHealth and sfc /scannow), and updated all drivers using Driver Booster Pro.
