What is the issue you’re having?
Hello,
I have a problem when launching FiveM.
Error message:
“The Social Club account specified does not own a valid license to Grand Theft Auto V.”
However I do own GTA V. The game was obtained from Epic Games several years ago and it appears in my Rockstar Social Club library.
GTA V launches normally from Epic Games Launcher and I can play story mode without any issues.
How the issue started:
Originally I had another error in FiveM saying that another user with the same Rockstar license was already playing. While trying to fix that error, I was told to delete the “DigitalEntitlements” folder. After deleting that folder, FiveM started showing the error that my Social Club account does not own GTA V.
Things I already tried:
- Verified GTA V files in Epic Games Launcher
- Reinstalled Rockstar Games Launcher
- Cleared FiveM cache multiple times
- Deleted Rockstar Launcher folders
- Launched GTA V and played story mode for several minutes
- Checked that Epic Games is linked to my Rockstar account
Also the folder:
AppData\Local\DigitalEntitlements
remains empty even after launching GTA V.
FiveM still says my Social Club account does not own GTA V.
Can anyone help me regenerate the license or fix the DigitalEntitlements issue?
Thank you.
