Important parts

What is the issue you’re having?
Whenever I’m playing FiveM my game freezes and goes black screen for a few seconds then comes back on

What are you trying to do?
I’m hoping to try and see if it’s a FiveM issue because it seems to only happen on FiveM

What have you tried already to fix the issue?
I’ve tried updating my drivers and tried to optimise FiveM with GeForce experience but nothing works
Error screenshot (if any):

What did you do to get this issue?
I don’t remember doing anything that would cause my pc or FiveM to do this.

What server did you get this issue on? Be specific and name some, ‘all of them’ by itself isn’t useful!
I get it on all the servers I join

Additional comments

if I can remember correctly it’s when I joined this new roleplay server I’m now in. It didn’t happen right away but it was after a while, I also have a clip I can attach to show what happens

Interesting, make sure to remove all graphics mods / “packs” if you’re using any first of all, and check the following - does your monitor come up with anything to indicate it’s lost visual feed when the black screen occurs (something like “Changing Input” or whatever depending on your model) or not?

I don’t have anything graphics wise just what came with the application, and nothing comes up it just goes black and then comes back on, no clue as to why it does it

Huh, find a clip software and try recording the blackscreen when it happens - I want to know if it comes up on a software-only recording (not with your phone) or not to see if it’s a hardware issue at all. ShadowPlay (via GeForce Experience) is a good option if you enable its Instant Replay feature, just press the relevant key after the blackscreen occurs and it’ll capture what happened

Yeah sure I’ll try that if it happens(which it probably will) I’ll drop it here and show you, but i don’t really know if it’s a hardware issue because on other games it works fine, well not before I had to download GeForce experience (because it was doing it to all my games) and optimise my games, but after that all my other games were fine it was just FiveM, also idk if it means anything but my gpu always drops to 0% I have the overlay up on the top right to show my gpu and cpu %

That’s a freeze, but not a black screen - did your actual screen physically go black when the freeze recorded occurred?

Yeah my screen both of them went black

That is very strange, use DDU (google it) and reinstall fresh drivers for your GPU - download the package directly from the website, don’t use GeForce Experience or anything else; also try using another connection type for your monitor, or use a different cable.

I did this and it’s still doing it, well not as much but it does it every now and again when my pc runs slow, I don’t have a clue what the issue is

Try using another monitor for a test, the issue itself is very strange though lol
