FiveM Patreon License to expensive

Hey,

sorry for my English that es not the best.
If you have another option a cheaper license because you pay 50 € per month for the Patreon License for 128 slots + plus the server, forum, teamspeak, other FiveM scripts then you are at well over 400 € per month there is another option for the Lincese for 128 slots + anyway?

Hi there.

Even though you didn’t fill out the template and rather want to have a #development:scripts, I’ll just move it.

To answer your question using some pointers.

  1. Teamspeak is something you don’t need to use, you choose to. Many have moved to the integrated mumble that is license free and is included with every FXServer and client.
  2. You choose to pay for a forum license. This is something separate from the Cfx Patreon. Forum licenses are usually very expensive, that’s correct. Perhaps weight what is more important: Higher slot count or a forum (based on metrics like usage)
  3. “Other FiveM scripts”, which you hopefully acquired legally through Tebex.io, is not monthly payment and also optional :slight_smile:

For a server that is able to handle a 128 player load + asset proxy + Element Club license you are spending less than €200. So from this I see you are spending over €200 on non-critical licenses/products. That’s quite a lot.

The reason for there being a license for higher slot count is to be able to generate revenue for the backend systems of Cfx (authentication servers, servers for the server list and so on). Without this, Cfx would not exist as too little amount of users would support the project through tips without getting anything back. See your pledge as a tip/donation to support the project.

You can only get a manual Element Club license through the contributor program. See FiveM - Server hosting. If you do not qualify for this, I suggest reducing your costs first by migrating from TeamSpeak to Mumble. Also generate income from players through tips/donations and selling certain in-game perks through Tebex.io.
