Disable any screen capturing software and make sure that in your Nvidia App the “Game Filters” feature is turned off.

It sounds like you’ve already tried some solid troubleshooting steps. Here are a few more things you can try to fix FiveM crashing on startup:

:wrench: Additional Fixes to Try

  1. Run as Administrator

Right-click on the FiveM shortcut and select Run as Administrator .

  1. Check Antivirus/Firewall

Sometimes, antivirus software or firewalls block FiveM. Try disabling them temporarily to see if it works.

  1. Verify GTA V Files

Open Steam (or Rockstar Launcher) → Right-click on GTA V → PropertiesInstalled FilesVerify Integrity of Game Files .

  1. Clear More In-Depth Cache
  • Go to your FiveM Application Data folder.
  • Delete the following folders:
    • cache (but NOT game inside it)
    • crashometry
    • logs
    • data/server-cache*
    • data/nui-storage
  • Restart FiveM after this.
  1. Update GPU Drivers

Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date via NVIDIA GeForce Experience or AMD Software .

  1. Disable Overlays

Turn off overlays like Discord, NVIDIA GeForce Experience, or Steam Overlays, as they sometimes cause issues.

You might need to disable Game Filters & Photo mode from the new Nvidia app, follow the guide here.
