FiveM Needs To Support Ultra Wide Monitors

Greetings, I trust that all individuals are faring well. I would like to address a significant concern pertaining to FiveM. The specific matter at hand pertains to the lack of support for ultra-wide resolutions. It is important to clarify that this issue does not arise from the servers or the server’s development; rather, it is an aspect that necessitates attention from the client or FiveM itself. I kindly request that this matter be rectified promptly, as it would greatly enhance the overall user experience. It is worth noting that GTA/FiveM does indeed support ultra-wide resolutions; however, the user interface (UI) does not appropriately adapt to such resolutions, unlike the game itself. In order to illustrate this issue more effectively, I intend to provide visual examples in the form of accompanying images depicting the city in which I am currently located.

I love how you’re pointing at FiveM for this when the servers developers need to support ultra wide.

FiveM can’t “magically scale” the UI, as its NOT THEIR UI. The authors have to properly scale their UI using media queries or whatever other ways there are.

I apologize if I’m wrong but from what I’ve heard from server Devs is that it’s something FiveM needs to fix/support. You can 100% be right but it’s not the point to say who’s the problem It’s something I’d like to point out. and who ever can fix it please do, That’s all.

I can assure you it is not a FiveM problem, most¹ of the UI would be in CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework) and work exactly like regular web UI’s. The devs’ have to properly scale their UI with media queries.

The issue here is it does matter, people will search through the forums and be like “WOW FiveM should really fix this!” when they physically cannot. This will lead to disdain towards the Cfx project because people are like “wow they still haven’t fixed this!”.

¹ Some people use NativeUI or other native solutions (with sprites and such), the same would still apply to them, they would still have to do the same except actually perform the math and such themselves.

This has something to do with the server side not client side… sorry

What?

His problem has absolutely nothing to do with GTA V/FiveM.

Has to do with the fact these servers hes joining may have custom scripts that alter the games appearance/uis in the game. If he was to normally play gta 5 everything would look beautifuly, but not in fivem.
