What is the issue you’re having?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been struggling with a persistent issue when trying to launch FiveM. I keep getting the error:
“Social Club account specified does not own a valid license to GTA V.”
Here’s my situation:
I purchased GTA V through Epic Games and activated it on my old PC.
I’m now using a new PC, but I’m logged into the same Social Club account.
GTA V launches perfectly from both Epic Games Launcher and Rockstar Games Launcher.
My Social Club account shows GTA V under “My Games.”
Despite all this, FiveM still throws the license error.
Thanks in advance!
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
I’ve verified game files, reinstalled FiveM, cleared Social Club cache, and re-linked Epic Games to Social Club.
I’ve also launched GTA V directly from Epic Games to force license validation.
I’ve contacted Rockstar Support and followed all their steps, but the issue persists. I’m hoping someone here has run into this and found a fix—or can point me in the right direction.
