Have you tried to reproduce this issue on another server and therefore made sure it’s not a server issue?

have you tried to reduce graphical settings? i’m dealing with the same problem, but i found the cause, basically Resources you are downloading when joining the server are working slower the usual which makes FPS Drops and these annoying stutters, as the server HAS to use them, and if they slow down, you FPS drops as they are trying to reload or something like this, try to find the server which have 0reources or low amount and try then.

Also i recommend you to Verify GTA Files and decrease graphical settings to low, i know this is pain as you have GTX 970 and want to enjoy the graphics but the resources weren’t coded as good as they should be

Yes i did try on other servers, it’s the same thing for me, while i have these stutters and fps drops like really bad, my other friends with lower setup and with the same RAM as me (8GB) play fine, with no lags or drops, and we all play on the same server.

Check your task manager, what is bottle necking, is it your disk space, if so I know a fix.

There is your issue, either lower your settings more, overclock your RAM or upgrade your RAM.

Yeah, i already have the lowest settings on 1920x1080, i’ll try to overclock my RAM first!

To be honest try a non framework server, like pennstate as ESX and VRP usually take up a lot of frames with 8GB of ram, I upgraded to 32 GB and it fixed it.

could be one of the problem, how old is your Drive? also say if it is Hard Drive Disk or Solid-State Drive

2 years old, and it’s a HDD.

yea when Disk hit 100% everything slows down, especially in Windows 10, recently i found some glitch.
Run Fraps ( if you dont have it download it ) you dont need to record anything, it will disable Steam Overlay which casues Freezes and massive FPS drops, it worked for me, tested on 2servers both didnt see Freezes or massive FPS drops

Didn’t work for me unfortunately :frowning: My fps keep droping to 30, even 20-15 when it stutters

Your memory is at 97% capacity so it’s trying to write what’s needed for the game to the drive, which is an incredibly slow process as opposed to reading directly from memory.

You don 't need to overclock your memory, you need more of it.

or close some not needed programs but it wont help much,
