What is the issue you’re having?

So I’ve been having this annoying issue with FiveM crashing lately. It seems to happen most often when the in-game weather is set to nighttime. I’ll just be playing and suddenly my GPU usage shoots up to 99-100% which makes the whole game freeze up and crash. Sometime I just start up my FiveM and it instantly crash that it even crash my GPU Software.

The thing is, I’m using the NVE graphics mod, which I never had problems with before. I didn’t start experiencing these crashes until after I reset my PC and upgraded from Windows 11 to Windows 10 Pro.

I don’t think it’s a hardware problem since my GPU can run other graphics-heavy games just fine with decent FPS. One major difference I’ve noticed is that before resetting my PC, FiveM would only use around 10% CPU but now it jumps up to 30-40% usage.

Also, back then FPS used to dip a bit when there were lots of players around but my GPU usage stayed steady. Now my FPS stays consistently above 100 but the GPU spikes like crazy and crashes the game.

So it seems like the OS upgrade and PC reset somehow messed with how FiveM optimizes my GPU usage. I never had issues back on Windows 11. Hopefully I can find a fix for this soon because the constant crashing is really frustrating.
What are you trying to do?

Im trying to find out the issue which lead to my CPU usage increasing and GPU high usage. I want it to be like before so my GPU usage wont goes to 99-100%, just stay at 50-60%

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

I tried messing with my GPU Software and FiveM Graphic Setting but nothing seem to change.

What did you do to get this issue?

No idea but think its start to happen right after Window 10 upgrade.

What server did you get this issue on? Be specific and name some, ‘all of them’ by itself isn’t useful!

Hello, I am not 100% sure what your issue is because it could be really anything however from my experience clearing your cache always helps. Here is a video that we made about it, I can’t promise it will fix it but clearing cache is always a good place to start.
