What is the issue you’re having?

The FPS is at a stable 90-100 when randomly the game will freeze up for a couple of seconds and then return to normal, there is no consistent time or event that causes the freeze, i can be standing still and it happens or i can be driving fast, when the freezing happens the game process drops from 40-50% GPU utilization to 0% and then repicks up for 40-50% again, it makes the game unplayable and i don’t experience this on any other game or benchmarking software

What are you trying to do?

have a smooth and playable experience

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

  • System optimization, debloating and disabling efficiency cores
  • Capping FPS from 60/100/120, no change in stuttering
  • Reinstalling the client
  • Removing GPU drivers with DDU and reinstalling, and downgrading
  • Configuring in-game settings, from lowest to highest
  • Googled the entire internet before making this post

Error screenshot (if any):

What did you do to get this issue?

its happened ever since i installed the client

What server did you get this issue on? Be specific and name some, ‘all of them’ by itself isn’t useful!

Additional comments

its worth noting that some days it will be okay and have maybe 1 freeze and thats it, and others it is unbarable with freezing happening every couples seconds. ive noticed aswell that when i use instant replay or take screenshots with nvidia, everything falls under the folder desktop and not fivem.exe like it did, maybe this is relevant?

Seeing as you’re on a 14-series, make sure it’s not trying to switch from P to E-cores or vice versa; you can use software like Process Lasso to force it, just don’t touch any of the priority settings of the FiveM processes - that’ll break it.

i have my e cores disabled from the bios, this wouldn’t be effecting it. I have found something interesting though, my game is butter smooth when i have no audio output connected. i believe its something to do with my audio that is causing the issues. one thing i seen was that in the sound control panel. there is a random microphone that is connecting and disconnecting at light speed but only when the game is open, any thoughts on this?

That may be the cause then, figure it out - double-check all of your actual microphones as well as any software you got that handles it, and try reinstalling your sound drivers while you’re at it. (Dis)connecting devices usually wont cause a freeze like that, but you never know
