What is the issue you’re having?
My game will freeze and then crash to desktop with the error code - RAGE error: ERR_STR_INFO_2
What are you trying to do?
I am not doing anything specifically, just playing the game, it happens whether I am driving, walking whatever, although usually in one specific area of the city centre.
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
I primarily play on 2-3 servers and I have asked people in all of them, including the owners/devs of those servers and I have tried a variety of solutions. I have done 3 fresh installs of GTA and FiveM on various SSD/HDs I have tried lowering graphics, updating graphics, rolling them back. I have also tried adjusting the rendering distance (MaxLogueRange or something) as someone suspected it was a YMAP issue.
Others have suggested it could be a problem with a windows file so I was advised to download and run various programs from FixWin10 but nothing I have tried has worked so far, if anything its made it worse!

What did you do to get this issue?
Although it is not the exact same thing causing the crash, they tend to happen in the same area of the city. If I drive or walk through them there will be no prior performance drop of any indication it is going to happen but then it will just freeze and crash to desktop with the above error.
I have been keeping track of where the areas are and I have enclosed a screenshot of the area below (highlighted yellow) although it has been happening in other areas as well recently, since I started trying to updated files and settings at peoples recommendations.
What server did you get this issue on? Be specific and name some, ‘all of them’ by itself isn’t useful!
The crash happens frequently on 2 servers I play regularly - NoLimitsRP and USARRP. I am currently trying out a new server for the first time to see if it happens there as well.

I have played FiveM for years and although I recently upgraded my PC in January this year I have played for multiple hours every day since without problems. Then I started getting the crash and I tried to think of anything I had changed/updated recently and the only thing I could think of was my graphics driver. Since then I have rolled it back and installed previous version but nothing is working.
I am currently having to shield because of COVID-19 and FiveM has been a god send in helping me deal with being in the house and in isolation, not being able to play it feels like the end of the world lol (huge exaggeration) but I have spent weeks trying to search forums and ask on discord for help and noone seems to have a solution.
If anyone is able to give me the fix or at least point me in the direction of the fix I will be extremely grateful!
