FiveM crashes with legitimacy.dll!SecurityPatternLoadHints (0x439fc)

What is the issue you’re having?

FiveM crashes immediately on startup with the following error:

legitimacy.dll!SecurityPatternLoadHints (0x439fc)
Crash signature: legitimacy.dll+2F276C
Latest Report ID: si-de40044beecb4ca381e4e2a123cb7fd1

The crash occurs consistently every time I try to launch FiveM.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

I have attempted all the following steps, but the issue persists:

Full uninstall/reinstall of FiveM and GTA V (Steam version)

Switched to Canary version (fivem://setChannel?canary)

Cleared FiveM cache

Verified GTA V game files on Steam

Disabled Windows Defender Real-Time Protection

Turned off Core Isolation (Memory Integrity)

Disabled Hyper-V, Virtualization-Based Security (VBS), and Virtual Machine Platform

Uninstalled Riot Vanguard (VALORANT anti-cheat)

Checked for the DigitalEntitlements folder (not present)

Ran without any peripherals (e.g. headset, controller)

Tried both normal and administrator launch (no difference)

What server did you get this issue on?

None. The crash happens before I can reach the main menu or connect to any server.

Windows Defender (Riot Vanguard was installed before, but now uninstalled)

This crash seems to be affecting other users as well, based on forum and Reddit reports.
