FiveM Crash Report: Unhandled exception (VCRUNTIME140.dll / legitimacy.dll)

What is the issue you’re having?

I am experiencing a recurring crash issue with FiveM. The game stops working and gives an “Exception, unhandled!” error (of type std::system_error).

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

To answer your question about what I have already tried, here are the steps I have taken so far:

Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

Reinstalled the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (both x86 and x64).

Cleared the FiveM cache (deleted the data folder, except game-storage).

Temporarily disabled background overlays and antivirus to see if they were causing conflicts.

Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the error. The exact same crash still happens.

What server did you get this issue on?

FiveM
