FiveM crash : GTA5_b3258.exe!sub_1402D79CC (0xf6)

What is the issue you’re having?

Game is crashing after random set amount of time “could be after 5 minutes or after 2/3 hours”

this issue started happening with me after the server i am playing on went through a wipe, contacted staff over there multiple times and did what they told me but no fix.
Can’t also blame it completely on that server since other people playing on it are not crashing like me.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

reinstall new windows “reset pc”
remove gta5 from steam and fivem from pc and reinstall, “multiple times on fivem” even used revo uninstaller
deleted cache files from fiveM completely “multiple times”
flush dns and renew
deleted citizenFX
changed ingame settings of gta5 and fivem
tried different fivem builts “all 3”
tried using fiveM checkboxes like “NUI fix”
always made sure GPU and windows and drivers are up to date
no antivirus installed
formated drives
verify game installation through steam
add exception in firewall or disable security
installed different windows files like old java/flash player/different versions netframework and c++ redistributable
restarted pc and router multiple times
enable and disable options like GPU schedule in windows graphics settings
disableing game bar
disable anything that has over lay “discord/steam/nvidia”
have no capture programs like medal installed, just OBS for live streaming only

What server did you get this issue on?

update : changing to “beta” build on FiveM settings in the main menu changes the error to the following

I would do a full malware scan with a provider of your choosing, reading from the list of things you’ve done that is about the only thing missing

crashed again now on “latest” or “canary” build after 10 minutes of gameplay.
there is a full system scan going on in the background as we speak but 0 threats detected so far.

are you able to look in the crashdump log files and see anything unusual ?

It’d take some time to do so, someone else should hopefully be able to do so in the meatime

did the scan on the whole system, no threats found, any updates?

Try these

  • Update GPU Drivers
  • Remove any client sided mods
  • Server specific issues, try joining other servers to see if you have the same issue
  • Clear FiveM cache, You probably already have

GPU up to date as in picture
there was NVE mods, removed it like 3 weeks ago since it was suggested in another post. and also installed a fresh copy of windows and GTA5 on steam to make sure there is not a single additional 3rd party File.
Played yesterday for like 5/6 matches in FiveM Arena, no crashes and as soon as i switched back it crashes after 5-10 minutes of gameplay.
clearing cache already done around 4 times in total “2 of them when installing windows and new copy of game”

so only happens on a specific server?

reason as I am confused by this statement

Played yesterday for like 5/6 matches in FiveM Arena, no crashes and as soon as i switched back it crashes after 5-10 minutes of gameplay.

Im getting the same issue if anyone is able to shed some light on it, ive done all the suggested possible fixes, even tried installing on different drives

Yeah, the crashes only happen on my main RP server i play on.

Unless you are saying FiveM arena server is not a good server to test such problem on?

I’m hoping for someone to open the crash report file and tell us where is the issue

If a crash only happens on one specific server your best recourse is to contact the staff of said server

I tried that and couldn’t find a solution because there is like 250+ people who doesn’t have this issue, only my self and maybe 3/4 other people.

I’ve been stuck in this problem for 3-4 weeks now, i really hope if the crash dump does mention something or say something so we can take it from there, Can you help with that please?

I could be wrong but seems like a caching issue, some of your crashes are trying to cache loading things in and in the middle of them caching you crash

i tried deleting cache a couple of times but it didn’t solve the issue if that is what you mean

did you manage to have some time to read the crash log?

Update : Tried playing in a different RP server and crashed after around 20 minutes.

So i’m guessing its not tied to 1 single server after all, anyone can please help me?

I have been getting the same crashes over and over every 20mins or so and the game just bam errors on me with this error code GTA5_b3258.exe!sub_1402D79CC as well as GPU error etc. I reinstalled GPU drivers reset the PC, verified game files and cleared the cache etc.
