FiveM can't detect Rockstar Games Launcher even though GTA V (Steam) works fine

What is the issue you’re having?

When I try to launch FiveM, I get this error:

  1. Could not locate the Rockstar Games Launcher Process!
If you are running it as administrator, please launch it as a regular user.

But I already tried everything — I use the Steam version of GTA V, it’s linked to Rockstar Launcher, and the game works fine outside of FiveM.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

  • I reinstalled FiveM completely
  • I deleted the FiveM cache folder
  • I verified GTA V game files on Steam
  • I reinstalled the Rockstar Games Launcher
  • I launched Steam and Rockstar without admin permissions
  • I set the correct game path manually to GTA5.exe
  • I disabled antivirus and firewall
  • I created a new Windows user account and tried again
  • I tried using a batch file to launch the game
  • I made sure GTA V runs perfectly outside FiveM
I have tried all the common fixes I found online, but the problem persists. I would really appreciate any help or advice to resolve this issue.

What server did you get this issue on?

The issue occurs before joining any server; I cannot launch FiveM properly.

I’m having the same issue :frowning_with_open_mouth:

could u please help me in here or u could dm me on discord my discord is : shyqlf

The way I fixed the issue.
Uninstall GTA V and FiveM
Clear all cache etc
Install GTA V— DO NOT INSTALL Enhanced version. Only Legacy.
Install FiveM DO NOT RUN YET
Run GTA V
It will prompt you to install Battleye… install it
It will prompt you to install GTA Online Launcher to your personal folder… Install it.
Then you should be at the start screen of GTA V … You can exit from here.
Then you load FiveM, login, direct it to your GTA folder.
Everything worked fine after that.

Note: Doing this fixed it for me. Results may vary.
