FiveM – Black screen issue on builds ≤ 3095 (RTX 3060) – HUD visible but world not rendering

What is the issue you’re having?

:pushpin: Problem description

Hello,

I’m experiencing a very specific black screen issue in FiveM, affecting build 3095 and below only.

:right_arrow: The game launches correctly, the UI is fully visible (HUD, minimap, pause menu, server UI), but the 3D world is completely black and does not render.

:warning: This issue does NOT occur on newer builds (3258 / 3407), which work perfectly on the same machine, without changing anything else.

:desktop_computer: System configuration

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060

OS: Windows 10 / 11

GTA V PC: Standard official version

FiveM: Latest version

NVIDIA drivers: Multiple versions tested (old and recent, using DDU)

:magnifying_glass_tilted_left: Observed behavior

FiveM build 3407 / 3258 → :white_check_mark: works perfectly

FiveM build 3095 or below → :cross_mark: black screen

HUD visible

Minimap visible

Menus visible

Player and world not rendered

:right_arrow: I even tested my own server, which runs fine on build 3407:
switching it to 3095 without changing anything else immediately causes the black screen.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: This rules out:

weather

shaders

maps

server resources

scripts

:test_tube: Troubleshooting already done

Full DDU cleanup in safe mode

Tested multiple NVIDIA driver versions (old and recent)

Disabled Windows Update driver installation

Disabled automatic driver update software

Full FiveM reinstall

Cache cleanup

GTA V file verification

Disabled all overlays (NVIDIA, Discord, etc.)

:right_arrow: None of these solved the issue on build 3095.

:brain: Hypothesis

This looks like a rendering incompatibility between FiveM builds ≤ 3095 and modern GPU setups, possibly related to:

RTX 30 series GPUs

recent NVIDIA drivers

older shader / rendering pipeline used by older FiveM builds

:red_question_mark: Questions

Are other users with RTX 20 / 30 / 40 series GPUs experiencing this?

Is there any known workaround for build 3095?

Is this a known or acknowledged FiveM/Cfx issue?

Thanks in advance for any insight :folded_hands:
I’m mainly trying to confirm whether this behavior is known and documented, as it appears to be build-specific rather than system-specific.
