System specifications

Videocard is NVidia GeForce 750Ti 2GB latest GeForce experience gameready driver

CitizenFX.log file
i can’t find that

.dmp files/crash IDs
can’t find it

Also add what you already tried so far.
i have already un-installed the entire game and the FiveM program and hoped that it would fix itself, but no.
after that i have various times checked all local data on steam and varified the game cache, that didn’t do anything for the game.
i have numirous times restarted my pc after the freeze kicks in again.
now i am just thinking “is it my pc, or is it a program error?”

i so need help, because i love to play on a rp server that uses a plugin on teamspeak, and when i need to go for assist or into the server i have to Alt-tab and switch channel, but when i go back in the game my pc freezes up on me. atleast, the game freezes. all i can do then is hit F8 and hope it registers the word “quit” or do the CTRL-ALT-TAB thing and end task from there.
There are various servers on the FiveM that i love to RP on, but i always seem to be needing the Alt-tab sometimes.

Help please

@DannyWillis Myself and one of my friends I play with are having the same or similar issue. Please reply to your thread if a hotfix is found.

I do have the same problem. Win10, gtx1060.
One ore two times i have mangage to tab out, when i’m in my steamoverlay, but it’s not working all the time.

This issue is known, however due to a Windows bug it is taking a bit longer than expected to fix.

But i’ve never experiende it before it happend yesterday. What triggered it?

@natrium
but then what is the windows bug? because on the stand alone server GTA Online it works pefectly and also in single players i have not come across the error. it only happend to me when i alt tabbed out because i had to switch a channel in teamspeak to get support or join a ts3 server .

Windows bug? It doesn’t happen with any other fullscreen application I run on Win, and it only started happening after FM patch. It’s on the backburner until MS releases a fix?

I also experienced that problem. For those who are reading this and have no idea of what really is the problem, check this video.

For now, this is my temporary solution. Either do not alt-tab or start the game in windowed mode. Check this video.

sorry, but in windowed mode it also happens, whenever you have to do something outside the game (on the desktop or other program) you will have to exit the game and do the thing and then re-start the FiveM. Because whenever you hit Alt-Tab the game freezes. doesn’t matter what video settings you have.
it doesn’t even seem to work with my 2nd screen, because i’ve tried that also. (if i wanna go over to screen 2 it still registers it as minimizing the game and using another program maximum screen, so it also freezes up.

Well, windowed mode works for me. I don’t know for others. I also asked other players if they experience this when alt-tabbing some said yes, some said no.

Oh, another FiveM update. It fixed the alt-tab problem at least for me.

well, i did the update ofcourse, like it does automaticly, but no, no fix yet

@DannyWillis, Not sure about the fullscreen issues, but I do know that the Alt + Tab issue has not been fixed as of yet.
@Jcarlsen, An update was released and caused this bug to occur.
@Trabis, Yes, Windows bug. This is specific to FiveM, not other programs. EDIT: No, the dev’s are currently working on a fix!

@Tyler_Sadler you said to Trabis “Yes, Windows bug”
but if everything that is running perfectly and this error only occurs while running GTA thru FiveM, how do you define Windows Bug?

i don’t want to make FiveM look bad by saying this, because i love the FiveM program, and i will keep on playing thru their program because i like the way they are doing things, and i will just wait for a fix to come out, even if it takes a year.

THE DEV’S ARE DOIONG A GREAT JOB

my 2cts

@DannyWillis, I use the term “Windows Bug” simply because that’s what the devs have said is causing the issue… As for what bug, I’m not sure. However, I know the devs are working on a fix now. Assuming this fix will work around the bug.

lets wait for them to try to get a fix around them, and pray, lol!!!

To the DEV’S in advance:

keep up the good work!!!
