I’d like to share a situation I’m currently facing with the Wasabi Scripts team, and hear if others have experienced something similar.
A few months ago, a collaborator of mine purchased a script from Wasabi’s Tebex store and shared it with me via the official Keymaster system — meaning the resource was activated and assigned to my own account legitimately through Tebex.
Recently, I needed support for that resource, particularly access to a missing dependency (wasabi_bridge). However, the Wasabi team is refusing to provide support or even the dependency, arguing that only the original buyer is entitled to it — even though Tebex itself allows collaborative development and verified distribution via Keymaster.
As a French and EU citizen, I benefit from strong consumer protection laws. According to Article L224-25-12 of the French Consumer Code, any seller of digital content must ensure conformity and provide working products to legitimate end-users. In this case, I clearly am one.
I’ve reached out to Tebex, who confirmed that only the seller can assign or reassign dependencies, and encouraged me to contact the seller directly — which I did, to no avail. The seller remains firm in their refusal.
As a fellow Tebex store owner and part of a developer community, I find this behavior extremely unprofessional and not in the spirit of open digital marketplaces. I had planned to purchase more scripts from them in the future — but after this experience, definitely not anymore.
If any other developers or server owners have gone through similar situations with Wasabi or other creators, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Also: if you’re a new buyer, double-check whether your team will be supported before buying.
In this scenario, couldn’t your partner ask for the dependencies then transfer them over? I’m not sure why people make a big deal about owner transfers, but I’d share the refusal with Tebex if you haven’t already.
I suppose I’ll introduce myself as the accused. I own Wasabi Scripts.
Our procedure ensures the original purchaser is granted the package as well as dependency resource (wasabi_bridge), to their keymaster. We also offer lifetime support to this original customer.
Due to the thousands of customers we serve, we only honor our lifetime support to original purchasers and we do not regrant lost assets.
Just because there are two scripts in a package we sell, doesn’t mean we are obligated to ensure both stay intact within the keymaster that they are transferred to. This responsibility falls under the asset owner.
In the event that there was collaboration and the original buyer withdrawals from the project, we allow the original owner to verify his transfer of support to the partner they had but we do not provide support without.
Many people for example, begin purchasing the scripts second-hand from platforms like Facebook where they are not given the wasabi_bridge dependency from the reseller and assume we are responsible moving forward.
In your case, you received your asset from an old friend you used to work for you stated previously.
I am sure your region has strong consumer laws but you’ve had a script shared with you from someone else without them including the whole package(wasabi_bridge).
Thank you for understanding and I hope this provides some clarification. We have a close relationship with Tebex and I am sure they will reach out if they need additional information.
TLDR;
We offer support and the scripts to the original buyer at time of purchase.
We do not replace lost assets.
We do not provide multiple people support roles / scripts as we reserve these things for the original purchaser only to keep support efficient.
We keep logs of all chats and you didn’t state he was a collaborator and instead an old friend who won’t respond (see screenshot).
I have the full Wasabi Bundle. Yes, the Bridge must also be transferred to you in order to use it from a third party transfer. You could purchase one of their dependent scripts, in which case the Bridge is automatically added to your Keymaster.
Just a heads-up: most script sellers specify that support is only guaranteed for the original purchaser.
