Error 127

What is the issue you’re having?

I just installed redM on this laptop for the first time, when running the launcher it gets stuck on the “checking for rockstar games update services” and does not get any further before popping up the error 127. Have not signed in/selected a server. It crashes before redM properly launches.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

I have restarted my pc.
I have made sure that I downloaded the launcher in the same folder the game is (steam).
I have made sure that ONLY the steam version and not the rockstar launcher version was installed.
I have redownloaded the rockstar launcher and have redownloaded redM.
I have made sure that rockstar never launched as admin.
I have triple checked everything and cannot find an answer to fix this. I have checked previous forum posts/anything on the internet and have not found an answer.

I did finally get redm working and just wanted to share everything I did to hopefully help someone in the future!
Okay so, I am on a laptop, I do also have a desktop - just to be safe (cause microsoft things) I made sure to delete the rockstar launcher and redm from my desktop.
Then I put redm and the rockstar launcher in the same folder - this got rid of the 127 error but brough up a new error! Which was error 307. And to fix that I did uninstall the rockstar sdk which didnt fix it. However when I joined the discord to put in a ticket I launched redm one more time to get the codes and it worked so not sure if the sdk thing fixed it but the important thing is its working now lol

In my search when I was trying to find answers there were not many at all so I wanted to make sure I posted my experience so maybe if someone comes along this in the future, it will help!
