Enabling voice chat immediately applies attenuation to all other audio sources

What is the issue you’re having?

When I enable voice chat in game on FiveM, it attenuates all other audio streams to basically 0, regardless of how I configure the settings. This issue does not occur when I launch GTA Online, but does also occur on the other platform like FiveM which I won’t name here just in case it’s not allowed.

Strangely, even if I go back to settings and turn voice chat off, I still need to restart the game for other audio sources to come back.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

Played around with attenuation settings to try different levels in the GTA options screen.

What server did you get this issue on?

CnR V EU1

Windows version

W11 24H2 26100.4484

System specifications

Core Ultra 9 185H
32GB DDR5
2TB NVMe
RTX 4080 Laptop

Antivirus software

Bitdefender Total Security

Additional comments

No crashes or logs to attach I don’t think, it’s just an audio problem.

In advanced settings in windows I had Default enabled for audio enhancements, disabling this appears to have fixed my problem.
