What is the issue you’re having?
I’m reaching out after over two months of repeated “early exit trap” crashes that have made it nearly impossible to play. At this point, I’ve exhausted just about every troubleshooting option available, and I need deeper assistance or escalation because I’m genuinely out of options. I have even reached out to the server owners and admins and done everything they suggested and still had no luck. In the last 8 months ive been playing this server before these last 2 months,. ive not had this problem quite severe as it is now and it’s really unplayable. The Problem
I consistently crash with “early exit trap” errors. These happen randomly sometimes while idle, sometimes during gameplay, and often when using in-game features like the phone. There’s no consistent trigger, and it occurs on Apollo Networks. What I’ve Tried (in painful detail):
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
Reinstalled FiveM multiple times
Cleared cache countless times
Moved FiveM to a separate SSD for testing
Switched from Windows 11 back to a clean Windows 10 install
Ran FiveM in pure mode for Apollo compatibility
Tried Canary, Beta, and Release builds
Disabled all overlays (Discord, Xbox, NVIDIA, etc.)
Changed power plans (high performance & ultimate)
Created clean Windows users just for testing
Verified that FiveM and all related processes have full access through my firewall
Watched every single YouTube video I could find — nothing helped
Hardware
Swapped GPUs (RTX 3060 → GTX 1660 Super)
New PSU (Corsair RM750e)
Confirmed healthy temps for CPU, GPU, SSD
Ran MemTest86 — no RAM errors
Reseated and confirmed proper detection of RAM (32GB total)
Switched SSDs (including adding a new one and reinstalling everything on it)
Reinstalled GPU drivers using DDU in Safe Mode
Updated chipset drivers
BIOS/OS
Reset CMOS
Attempted BIOS update (followed all correct steps; didn’t work)
Disabled Resize BAR
Re-enabled correct XMP profile for RAM
Verified correct BIOS settings
Additional
Played FiveM completely isolated (no background apps)
Monitored usage (GPU/CPU/RAM all normal during crashes)
Deleted and reinstalled GTA V
Even isolated FiveM and GTA to different drives for testing
Crashes happen whether or not anything else is running
Tried using different launch parameters, shortcut paths, and versions
What I know, this isn’t a hardware failure I’ve tested and swapped parts extensively.
It’s not a temp/power issue, It happens on fresh Windows installs. It happens across different FiveM builds. I’ve done far more troubleshooting than most users would ever attempt.
At this point, I’m genuinely stuck. I’ve been dealing with this issue for over 2 months, and I’ve tried everything short of replacing my entire PC to resolve it. Please, if this can be looked at more deeply or passed on to someone who truly understands what’s behind “early exit trap” crashes, I’d really appreciate it.
(Could possibly be a server issue but doesn’t happen to anyone else but me)
What server did you get this issue on?
Apollo Networks
