Hello and welcome to Dusk Trails! We are a brand new server based off the WEIRD WEST genre (more supernatural than sci-fi.) We are a small, English based community, where we are looking to build a server based off solid character interactions, creative roleplay and aim to create an immersive, yet engaging and mysterious, environment.
A few things about us:
- We are a sever that has supernatural roleplay at the heart of it, not just an asset. However, we are aware of issues with powergaming, so we have put together a select species list that are “canon” to our universe with strengths, weaknesses, and roleplay mechanics (ranging from mild to fairly restrictive, for those who want a challenge, while remaining open enough for your own interpretation.)
- We have aimed to make our economy historically accurate for the time period (you won’t be paying $100,000 for a horse, property, or anything like that) while also having opportunity in the future for player-owned businesses and companies.
- We aren’t a pay-to-play or heavy grind-based experience if you are looking to make money, yet we want to make sure you are unable to make vast amounts of money while doing nothing.
- Storytelling and character building is at the forefront of what we hope to accomplish in this server, while also fostering a lighthearted, inclusive and friendly community.
A few things our server has to offer:
- A quick, text-based character application to gain the whitelisted role to join the server.
- LGBTQ+ friendly, ran by two LGBTQ+ people (at the moment)
- A unique gaming experience for those who wish to play as supernatural creatures, while also keeping storylines and experiences even and engaging for those who wish to play more common roles found in RedM servers.
- The awesome horses, wagons, and character creation system that SIREVLC has put together.
- Various ways to make money, such as delivery jobs, hunting, mining, and more.
- Whitelisted jobs for police, medics/doctors, train drivers, stagecoach companies, and more.
- An expansive system of world interaction and animation menus to enhance your roleplay.
- A brand new server with the aim of developing more in the future, and to be as beginner friendly as possible.
- Active staff, future server events, etc.
OUR TIMELINE: As of this initial post, we are opening the Discord so people can have a chance to check us out, apply for the grand opening and apply for whitelisted jobs before the server is open. The planned opening is set for the week of JANUARY 1, 2024 , but we are relaxed and you can come in and join up as you please before or after that point. We hope to see you!
