Dont know how to make self admin

My mate has just started a fiveM server, he has the server up kind of, but theres many things that need changing, the main thing is he cant make himself admin so he is kind of stuck on what to do, does anyone know how to resolve this issue

open the server.cfg maneuver down to where it says “Add system admins”
change “add_principal identifier.steam:xxxxxxxxxxx group.admin # add the admin to the group”
where “x” is your guys (steamID64) hex should start with 110000
use this website and input your steam profile name or account name

if your using vMenu which is highly recommended great universal platform for all aspects with built in protection for admins against them getting kicked and or banned vMenu will not allow that to happen along with an plethora of permissions you can change virutally “everything” permission wise

but if your using vMenu same concept just
“add_principal identifier.steam:xxxxxxxxxxx group.admin # add the admin to the group”
“x” is your steamID64 (hex)

Thanks for the reply, but the thing is, he has done that and it still hasnt put him as an admin to the server, we need to someone to help figure out the issue

Ive tried everything to put myself as an admin but nothing is working, im hosting the server from a website and using esx 2.0 framework and tried everything, has anyone else had this issue and knows how to fix it?

Everything is saving and linked up to my steam, but when i go on to the server im not an admin?

Pretty stupid question, but do you have steam opened? Happened to me back when I was developing… Sometimes I freaked out about permissions and stuff not working, and I hadn’t opened steam before starting FiveM.

If you are using txAdmin you can easily type “setgroup ID superadmin” into the server console
just replace ID with the current ingame ID of the perso who should get the group
