I just want to make sure that you also take into account the gateway fee which is dependant on the gateway used, you can find these on your payment methods page:
I will outline all the fees associated with this transaction:
Platform fee for FiveM Store: 15% of $36.30 = $5.44
Gateway fee for Paypal: 2.49% of $36.30 + ($0.40) = $1.30
The $6.30 is taken off for VAT and then the $5.44 + $1.30 is deducted from $30 leaving £23.25

That’s a curious calculation - but likely one substantiated with some valid tax reason (e.g. paying out to individuals as well so the VAT rate on that end would need to be compensated)
Incorrect, the Terms of Service states that there are specific platforms that Cfx.re and Rockstar will identify as authorized platforms. This means that there is some formal agreement between Rockstar/Cfx.re and the Platform for use of services. There are also unauthorized platforms, these are service providers you MAY NOT use. There are also “Service Providers” which Cfx.re does not talk about but these are people who sit in the grey zone, the TOS does not state that you are REQUIRED to use an Authorized Platform just that they support these platforms. They do tell you that you MAY NOT use the Unauthorized platforms.
everything you just said here is a misinterpretation of the TOS because it accounts for both, requiring the use of an authorized provider/service and disallowing unauthorized providers/services. This is legal jargon for, they covered their asses in both directions.
Authorized or Exclusive meaning you can use them or if you want this server we require it. You do NOT have to use an Authorized Service Provider, you just are not allowed to use an Unauthorized Service Provider.
Furthermore Tebex is only an APPROVED Monetization Partner, they in no way talk about Approved Monetization Partners. There is no requirement to use APPROVED Monetizaiton Partner.
Uh, where have you been for the last 4 years? There is 100% a requirement to use Tebex if you wish to monetize a server. This has been hammered home time and time again.
If you don’t believe me, post a release with a link to a store outside of Tebex on the forums. Attempt to post a link to a non-Tebex store in the bazaar on the forum or in the discord.
This is why FiveM is going down the hole. We went from a multiplayer mod, to a business, to a Rockstar owned business. Rockstar has found a way to ruin things other than harassment or sending cease and desists
Except this existed well before it was acquired by Rockstar. You might not have been around, but the community was demanding a legitimate way to monetize their servers. Not doing anything would leave extremely little consumer protections that Tebex provided.
Like it or not, this is what the community wanted and expecting a completely free, no fee platform is naive at best.
I have been around before Tebex integration. I also think people are free to sell or buy from other stores. Restricting links to Tebex only is whatever, but not sure if Cfx actively goes after independent stores which shouldn’t be the case. I know of a lot of stores on other platforms and you can actually own what you pay for, instead of renting which is basically their asset protection. Also pretty much the same thing with hosting: they allow only ZAP to sell FiveM servers and ban subnets of hosts because they are simply “not authorized” to do so, so another hurtful monetization effort. FiveM devs also intentionally broke things for the Pterodactyl egg which was stupid
