Residences of Paleto Bay and surrounding areas took the opportunity to enjoy the wilderness earlier this week when a sudden snowstorm hit the State’s north coast. Thankfully, the riders enjoyed the afternoon with no serious injuries 
Police are on the scene of a drive-by shooting in Davis.
Police and emergency services were called to an address on Roy Lowenstein Blvd, about 0200 hours Zulu standard yesterday (Sunday the 29th of November 2020).
Numerous bullet holes were located in a private dwelling. There were occupants in the home at the time, however they were uninjured.
An adult male was declared deceased on the scene by Ambulance Paramedics after being shot multiple times.
A crime scene has been established. Homicide Squad Detectives with the assistance of the South East Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad are conducting inquiries.
Witnesses have told police it appears to be a targeted attack. CCTV footage of a black SUV was seen speeding away immediately after the shooting. Shots were fired at the home before the car drove at speed from the area.
No further details are available at this time; however, police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. A man has been charged following an alleged shooting and police pursuit in Davis last night.
Approximately 0640 hours Zulu standard (Sunday the 29th of November 2020), an adult male in his early 20’s was observed leaving the scene of a shooting at a commercial property at Dutch London Street, Davis, where he took conveyance of a motor vehicle without consent of owner.
The owner of the vehicle sustained no injuries and was examined by Ambulance Paramedics.
Approximately 0700 hours Zulu standard time, police were conducting patrols of Davis Streets where they allegedly sighted the stolen vehicle. Police attempted to stop the vehicle before the alleged offender discharged a firearm at police initiating a pursuit.
Troopers pursued the vehicle throughout the suburbs of Davis, Pillbox Hill, Vinewood, Mirror Park, Sandy Shores, Grapeseed, Rockford Hills and Vespucci before the driver took siege in a fast-food restaurant in Vespucci.
Specialist Troopers from the Strategic Response Unit, Rescue and Bomb Disposal and Dog Services arrived and began negotiations with the alleged male.
Approximately 0800 hours Zulu standard time, specialist police made entry into the establishment taking control of the scene. A Trooper did sustain an injury and was treated by Ambulance Paramedics.
Investigations into the matter are continuing. The alleged Offender was pronounced dead a short time later by Ambulance Paramedics.

Double Demerits is a road safety enforcement campaign by the San Andreas State Government to encourage safe driver behaviour during holiday and long weekend periods. Any motorists caught breaching specific road rules during these periods will cop a loss of double the prescribed demerits points on their licence.
Christmas
Double Demerits will apply from Friday the 18th of December till Sunday the 27th of December.
New Years
Double Demerits will apply from Tuesday the 29th of December until Sunday the 3rd of January 2021.

Police detected a vehicle at 75mph on Innocence blvd in Davis.
Approximately 0940 hours on Thursday (2020/12/17), Troopers from Davis Highway Patrol were conducting speed enforcement when they detected a Ford F150 well in excess of the 30mph speed limit. The speed of the vehicle was checked at 75mph.
The motor vehicle was overtaking several vehicle’s before Police were able to stop the vehicle. Whilst speaking with the driver it was also established that his San Andreas drivers licence had expired. The driver stated that he was running late for work.
The driver was issued with a penalty notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45mph and driving with an expired licence. The registration plates of the vehicle were confiscated for a period of 3 months.

The Strategic Response Unit (SRU) is a dedicated team of individuals who provides tactical support to general policing throughout the State.
Based strategically around San Andreas, the SRU maintains an around the clock capability across San Andreas with the support of the part-time and regionally-based teams.
The SRU are tasked to resolve extreme situations that regular officers are not trained to handle, including hostage-taking, and heavily armed criminals. quipped with high-tech tools and a cache of weapons and explosives, members use negotiation tactics and intuition to try to avoid the use of deadly force, which they exert only as a last resort.
Approximately 0350 hours Zulu standard (Tuesday the 23rd of December 2020), an adult male in his 20’s was detected by Paleto Bay Highway Patrol Troopers travelling westerly into Paleto Bay on San Andreas Route 13.
Police initiated a stop when the vehicle attempted to flee initiating a pursuit.
Police pursued the vehicle through the suburb of Paleto Bay and Grapeseed when the vehicle lost control and the driver collided into a safety ditch of San Andreas Route 1.
Ambulance Paramedics attended the scene. Nobody was injured.
The driver was conveyed to Paleto Bay Police Area Command where he was charged with Felony Evading a Peace Officer (Police Pursuit), Dangerous Driving to Escape Police Pursuit and receive Nemours penalty infringement notices (citations) for other driving-related offences.
The driver was remanded to custody and due to appear before Paleto Bay Local District Court 2021/01/23.
