Decrypted and used assets on FiveM Servers

Intro / story

A few months ago I discovered that my assets have been leaked (client cache decrypted) and posted on various forums, even on Patreon and the thing I care about the most: used by other FiveM Servers

I get it, piracy is a thing - there is no internet police but when they are using closed source assets for commercial purposes that’s another story.

I contacted the hosting sites and the links have been removed for example:

Also went ahead and report the servers I knew on https://support.cfx.re/ (#16846, #15684) the only downside is that it took between 2 and 3 weeks to get a response / follow-up or any kind of input

The person in cause apologized for the delay and the issue was solved after more than 1 month (https://i.imgur.com/KlJUb6O.png)

More and more servers have been using it, I tried to come in contact with 2 “server owners” and they removed the maps (except one of them banned me a few days later - from their discord and FiveM server and started using them again)

I gave up with the personal contact option and I reported it using https://support.cfx.re/ (#36054, 16 days ago) and at this time I’m still waiting for my ticket to be reviewed

The problem?

With the current response time is unrealistically possible to ever solve this issues (I even found another server yesterday)

Also is very hard for me to go hunt these servers, I asked if there is a way to find server by resource name I got this response which is a “yes” with no further information

All the servers in cause didn’t even rename the resource name (hashiriya_levels)

I have been supporting FiveM with the highest Patreon pledge since AUG 2020 (https://i.imgur.com/CS2UFu7.png), the 15% tax that goes to Cfx.re from Tebex is quite big but I’m happy to do so, I’ve been around this community since 2016 and tried to help when I could, how I could

I’m at the point where I feel like I can’t do anything and this is falling apart

With that being said is there anything that I have to pay / do to get a bit more help on this issue?

Hi del1an, thanks for bringing this to the surface - as you point out, these response times are far too long. We generally strive to answer within 48 hours, so to see 16 days without an answer is simply put unacceptable. I will escalate this within the support team and review what went wrong. You don’t have to pay or do more; this is on us.

To help you out immediately, I’ve picked this one up myself. All reported servers have now been suspended for using illegally acquired material. I have also assigned your ticket to myself and will ask you for a few more details over there. If you have any other servers you’d like to be looked at, let me know.

I tried to make a post but yeah, didn’t get approved but I have been waiting 14 days for a support response.
