So ive been playing arround with some of the mods and everything for some reason im struggling to add a primary skin look to a car example lets say i want to make a nissan whatever a PD car i have all the files needed to add the vehicle to the game but cant figure out how to go edit the file so it has a custom PD skin that ive designed or will design for said car. Any advice would be amazing. Please note that this is not gor GTA single but for a FiveM server where multiple people can see it and use it.
Use openiv , find the texture dictionary for the car you want to edit , enter editmode within openiv , and browse the texture dictionary till you find the image you wanna replace. It’s pretty simple and there are alot of tutorials out there on how to do it.
I can’t remember the exact tutorial at the moment , but there was one that showed how to remove dirtmaps for vehicles over the file size limit , I think it was like how to fix broken car models, but that set me on a good path to being able to edit and modify skins for cars at my leisure
