Does this happen on any other server? If not, then this is 100% an issue with SOSA.

From discussion in the FiveM discord, we came to the conclusion that this might be due to spaces in the ymap file names. (i.e. New Beach.ymap). Please contact the server owner and tell them to remove the spaces from the ymap file names.

A while back we had an issue like this, where we had a map with a space, removing the space did help. A couple of days ago I tried helping Jamie by removing the spaces once again, and had no luck. Not sure if cache has something to do with this or not? I’ll try again tonight at some time, but apologies for the issues

Yeah we’re just confused to why its happening to only me, ive cleared cache loads, reinstalled fivem twice, validated gta v, all sorts. Its really confusing

From what I’ve seen from this post, it has to be a server side issue, i’ll get to removing the spaces now, Jamie. I’ll report back after we’ve tried this.

Alright, so I’ve removed all spaces which were in the .ymap file names. Stopped the server, copied the folder and replaced this updated resource in the server.cfg, then I started the server again. I load in perfectly fine, however Jamie is still having the same problem. It seems to still be finding/loading the files without underscores even though the previous resource was stopped?? Only thing I can think of is to clear server cache. Any ideas?

did you clear the server cache before starting the server?

We have to wait til the server is quiet to try that

Ok because you must clear the server cache each time a resource is changed otherwise it will not take effect.

What i do is everytime i do anything i clear the server cache, its always good to do it regardless of any changes.

I disagree doing it constantly, but I will do it for the ymaps. Thanks for the reply.

never said constantly, but dont let cache sit around for a long time it can cause its own set of problems.

Just make sure everytime you change something it gets cleared.

I haven’t cleared server cache in months. It always caused issues with streaming cars, but yeah, going to try it later tonight.

Issue resolved, removed spaces from all folders and ymap files. Jamie can now connect to the server.

Just confirmed this issue on my server, the player running windows 7 Couldn’t connect when we had a space in one of the Ymap files. has been fixed too.
