CURL 7 Failure when my gf try to join my local server

Hello everyone,

I have set up my local server and after some “issues” now my server is running. Also using CanYouSeeMe.org I have checked several times if my port is forwarded and it is finally - but it was hard to get it run.

Now at CanYouSeeMe.org i get

Success: I can see your service on 37.82.XX.XXX on port ( 30120 )
Your ISP is not blocking port 30120

But, when my gf try to join my server it starts to load the mods (the default one - 13) and at the end, when it should download the 13th, a failure comes up. She is not using the same network, it is also 4G but a different sim card with a different router.

I really don’t know what is happening. I have removed my FiveM cache, but nothings changed. We tried deactivating my firewall and my karsperski antivirus but also didn’t work and finally we tried deactivating her firewall, but with the same result.

Check List

  • Server set up [check]
  • Port forward [check]
  • Server listed in Server browser [check]
  • Let join 2nd gamer on local server with or without firewall & antivirus [FAILURE]

Maybe someone has an idea what I can adjust so that my gf can join the server finally.

Cheers

Jordi

We now tried more options. So, my gf can join other servers also my account can join other servers. BUT it seems the issue is coming from content downloading. My gf cannot download any content from my server.

Could someone check if he can join my local server? Server name is… Jordi Cool Server

Nobody needs to reply anymore. I give up! I switch back to LSPDFR…

Anyone on your local network needs to connect to your local IP address (which is like 192.168.x.x or so) not the public IP.

Hi Nathan,

thanks for your comment, but where I should introduce my local ip? If you mean in my port forward settings, I have introduced my local ip, but it doesnt work.

You give the person wanting to connect your local IP.

Ok, but how can this person connect via lokal ip? Do I need something or should the person introduce my ip in the server browser? I think i missed something crucial.

If your GF is on the same network she would need to connect using the local ip, thats it… anyone outside of your network would need to use the external ip.

you can use in console “connect localip”

Okay, now. As how you can see, the problem comes with resource of the sessionmanager.
I got this error also when I started for the first time my own server, so let me give you my file, put it as how it is by default and let me know is it working for you after this intervention.

No, that’s not at all what the problem is.

Hi mate,

I have tried and it works! Fantastic and many thanks for investing your time to support me! I really appreciate that.

Now we can play together via local ip, so I will spend sometime in fixing my wan ip problem. As it looks good, port forward works fine, but no connection possible.

Do you think UAC could be the problem? I have UAC in Win10 still activated.

Cheers

Thanks mate for your comment and providing your file. As you can read above Nathan has fixed my problem at the moment. I can connect with my gf via local ip but still not via wan ip. So if someone has an idea.

Cheers

Well, anyone outside of your network should not have an issue connecting unless the Windows firewall is blocking it or some other software.

Hi mate,

I have tried to let connect my gf via wan ip deactivating my firewall and my antivirus but it doesnt work. I dont have any idea…

Ok but main question is, is she in the same house? on the same network?

Yes, she is but…

we have just 4G connection in house. I have to router running with two seperated sim cards. As my internet is likely limited - and as I stream via twitch everyday - my idea was to let her join via the second router. But I tried diff times. I don’t know why it doesnt work. I though port forwarding is the key, but that works.

its possible because its 4g that its being blocked on the ISP’s end, to prevent people from running servers on the 4g network.
