CPU Usage Higher After FiveM Update

i am 100% the same issue since december , it caused me to buy new parts that i didnt even need . restarting fivem and changing versions seems to work only sometimes .
game is at 100% cpu usage even on menu ryzen 3600 16gb ram

how do i do that ? i am tired of this issue .

Same issue, I was going to create my own thread but I’ll post stuff here instead so as to not clog the forums:

I use a 5800X3D, like a few of the posters here, and I’m experiencing the same deal of CPU usage going up to 100% after around 1-1.5 hours of continous playtime; this is on the Beta branch, Release branch currently seems to be even worse and cut it down to around 30 minutes. This forces my CPU to thermal throttle at its 90C limit, requiring a full game restart to fix.
I have the very latest BIOS, chipset and all other relevant drivers installed; further, I am not running anything CPU-intensive in the background, and closing some of the less necessary background apps didn’t help at all - the FiveM game subprocess still eats all of the spare CPU power in this state. Limiting cores via affinity does not seem to help as it maxes out all of the cores it has available, and eventually somehow even takes over the cores I limit (might’ve been a fluke, but I have never seen before lol).
This happens across several custom servers, in which I never had any issues prior to when the issue was first reported on the forums some time ago now.
I’ve captured a few ETW traces so far, and working on getting a few more ā€œisolatedā€ ones, which I can provide privately to whomever needed so this can be looked into. I don’t wish to post those publicly because of the data they contain :laughing:
