My pc specs
cpu: intel core i5-6500
ram: 2x4gb
gpu: amd radeon 580
mbo: asus H110M-K
ssd: 120gb ssd mSata
512gb ssd m.2 NVME (external)
when i run gta v story mode, my cpu usage just around 40%-50%
but when i joined FiveM server, it turns 100% cpu usage
any recomended cheap ways to solve this?
Playing on a custom FiveM server with a bunch of assets, especially unoptimized ones, will do that to ya. Your best bet is to shut down all unnecessary applications on your PC when playing in hopes that that’d be enough free resources for your CPU.
i just figure out something, fiveM server only can run smoothly on cpu with 6 cores, 12 threads😅
Try to join our official testing server and see if you have same performance issues while playing on it?
cant confirm that did run on my 4c just fine 6700k tho
okay not about cores, but about threads💀 6700k got 8 threads, mine just 4 threads.

update: i tried ran the pc im resolution 800x600 (adjusted it in advance graphic) and i got avg fps 80, but you know… dont go for it, but my cpu usage still 100%, i guess it because of the people in the server ( 100+) players. so thats why my cpu is 100%. will try to update later, im in planning to upgarde my ram to 2x8gb or maybe go for processor that got 8threads. what do you guys think?
TBH you just need a general upgrade; 8 GBs of RAM is definitely very little by modern-day standards, and the CPU is barely good enough as well. See if you can upgrade all of that simultaneously, should be a good boost to your gaming experience lol

I have upgraded my pc RAM from 8gb to 16gb,
it really helps me to get better fps in fivem server,
but it takes time, about 5 hours of playing. Hopes this help.
Im having the same issue and cant wrap my head arounf how to fix. Ive done everything on the check list! Even started changing components on my pc and still no fix!
I have similiar issue, 100% cpu usage and 100% ram usage, is adding ram will help this issue?

everytime i opened fivem my cpu% would be a steady 127% what i did that work is delete the data file in the fivem app i deleted it all and made fivem redonload the missing files and it worked hope this helps because i was freaking out wondering why my cpu was at 127% usage and when i opened task manger it would show the same but hope yall get it fixed
Can you be more specific on what you deleted? did you delete the entire data folder, or folders/files within the folder? Having the same issue to no resolve.
Did you delete cache folder?
i just deleted the whole data file and put my fivem game on carnary mode it says 127% cpu but then i open task manger and it say 60 so id just pull up the task manger after you change that shi and deleted the whole data file and if it still dosent get betterr then ill try to fig it out ive had this prob ever since i tried to put a ybn graphics pack in from fuzzy but if you have enb shader hit me and i can show you what i did to that to
for me, it happened after reinstalling fivem. i have a 5800x, gtx 1080 8GB and 32 GB RAM on all SSD’s. 2-3 months ago, my cpu would barely touch 10% now my cpu is averaging 50-60% usage now. I was told there was a client update during this time of it being uninstalled and that a bunch of other ppl are now experiencing this issue. but i know its not a hardware issue. because ppl with better rigs are having this issue as well. so it has to be a client issue.

lately I play fivem on any server my CPU is big around 70-100% more, while my GPU is only about 0 - 30%. especially if I while running OBS Studio for live streaming on youtube, my CPU increases dramatically 90-150% and my GPU is only about 10-50%. help me to fix this please.
