Couldn't load resource: Failed to open packfile

Hi,

10-15 players out of 200 players are facing " Couldn’t load Resource Police": Failed to open packfile.

I’m using caching proxy : Optimizing resource downloads using a caching proxy – FiveM Cookbook

I tried to delete their entire cache and even fivem but they keep getting this error.

When I deleted all the cache and re-downloaded it, it worked for me. I and other players don’t get this error.

Only few players are getting this error.

Any solution ?

Is that your server or someone elses?

  1. If that is someone elses server it is because they have a corrupt file in there server files.
    where it will sometimes load into the game and sometimes it might not.

What could resolve that? Just reinstalling it?

But how could it be a corrupted file if the error isn’t going to everyone? If it was corrupted wouldn’t everyone get the same error?

I’m having the same. Everyone can join the server but me. Nobody who helps…

Exactly. If the file is corrupted then everyone would get this error. But only 2-3 players get this error.

This is my server and files are not corrupted at all. Only 2-3 players are getting this error even after deleting entire cache folder.

When they try to re-download it, they get this error.

True, If you ask on discord. Everyone just enjoying and playing on the server. But not me i’m the only one getting this. Frustrating, cause no one seems to really know how to resolve it.

I degraded my FiveM artifacts down to 3622 since txAdmin recommended it and it stopped for me; haven’t been getting any more DMs or complaints about it.

To fix this:

  1. Head over to your server panel

  2. Click on Startup

  3. Change the Fivem Version to 12031

  4. Go to File Manager /alpine/var

  5. Delete the “lock” folder

  6. Restart the server from your panel. NOT from TXAdmin, this is important so that the version can be changed properly
