I have disabled my anti virus, changed the ports and restarted my pc multiple times. Each thread tells me to do something and it doesnt work can someone pls help as I really want to have my server up and running but i honestly just cant because of this issue. The error comes up in console btw.
I may have fixed it. It isnt that as ive checked on task manager
I fixed that issue, but now when i give them the new ip they cant connect. 192.168.0.10:31020. THis worked for my last server but noy my current one, help?
That’s your local network IP. The only people that could connect to that IP are people connected to the same router you are. You need to provide your outward facing IP. You can find out what that is by visiting this page.
Once you have that, if your ports are forwarded correctly, your friends should be able to connect.
I try that IP but they still cant connect. Should I change the ip in the server.cfg file to 0.0.0.0, my local one ormy outward facing IP?
No, it should be left as what it is.
If your friends can’t connect, then either the ports aren’t forwarded correctly or your ISP has not issued you an IP of your own.
Use this site to see if your ports are forwarded correctly. Enter the outward facing IP and your game port. It will tell you whether it’s open and usable.
And quit creating new topics. You’re going to piss the mods off.
My ports are forwarded correctly and re-forwarded them but it isnt showing up on can you see me or fivem still. I’m using Virgin Media Hub 3.0 and I am certain that they have been correctly forwarded.
If you’re on a Win 10 machine, make sure those ports are open in the firewall.
Just did that, didnt work.
the default port is 30120 not 31020 unless you changed it in the config file.
ik i realised after. it still doesnt work though
im having the same issue where it wont bind
i fixed it though…
If it wont bind then something is using that port… either figure out what it is or change the port you are using.
