"Could not validate game ownership" & "ROS ID verification failed" errors

What is the issue you’re having?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been experiencing persistent authentication issues when trying to launch FiveM.

First, I get the following error:

“Could not validate game ownership! If you are running this as administrator, please launch it as regular user.”

Shortly after (or alongside it), I also receive:

“Authentication error: ROS ID verification failed.”

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

Launched both FiveM and my game launcher (Steam/Epic/Rockstar) without administrator privileges.

Fully logged out and back into my Rockstar Games account and game launcher.

Deleted the %localappdata%\DigitalEntitlements folder and the ros_profiles file inside CitizenFX.

Cleared FiveM’s cache (data/cache, server-cache, server-cache-priv).

Verified GTA V game files.

Reset network configuration (ipconfig /flushdns, netsh winsock reset).

Cleared stored Rockstar/Live credentials in Windows Credential Manager.

Despite all this, the issue persists. Has anyone found a solution for this on Epic Games? Any help is appreciated!
