I like your Idea. When you dont want to Mark the Text then put:
user-select: none;
in your .css in the Body section.

I’m not quite sure what “original resource” you’re talking about, if you could provide a link that would be rather helpful. Please do review the code of the resource and determine whether it does infact match the one you are referring to.
